Tetra Pak – the carton packaging commonly used to package milk, beverages and soup stock. It is made up of different layers: paper, plastic (polyethylene) and aluminium foil.
Are Tetra Paks recyclable?
Yes, they are, however, due to the different material contents it’s made up of, Tetra Paks are not considered as regular paper, and can only be processed at recycling centres with specialised facilities.
To ensure that Tetra Paks are properly recycled, we have to ensure that Tetra Paks are dropped off at the right places – tetra pak recycling partners. Tetra Pak partners with schools, Resident Committee (RCs), and the blue bins around our island. Always remember to rinse, push the straw back or put the cap back, and flatten your cartons, before depositing it into the recycling bin.
